RV Blog--Life in a Box. This just ain't 'camping' any more....

Saturday, November 04, 2006:

So, we packed up the 5th wheel, dragged it back to our son's driveway, tossed a few things into the pickup camper and headed off to Louisville to see our friends and get our newest family member.... Then we went up to the campground to pick up the car and tow dolly and take them back to IL, ended up leaving them because there was a chance at a new job coming up in a week or so. Went to our daughter's to visit, pick up mail and do some laundry before we went back to IL for the weekend. Only, the "Hall" called and wanted him back in Indiana early this morning to fill in at another job, 5 miles from his last job. BUT, all his work clothes were, of course, in the 5th wheel in IL! So, we went there, threw a bunch of clothes and food into the truck and headed BACK to the campground in Indiana--where they'd already rented out our campsite, of course. Got to bed about midnite, the alarm battery died in the nite (I was unaware that the CELL PHONE can double as an alarm clock!) and now he is off to run a dozer and I'm sitting in the truck camper with 2 dogs and a new puppy! Aaaaahhhhhh...what a life!m Camper is a MESS.
Turns out the puppy was badly in need of a home. The shelter he was born in is so broke that, at 12 weeks, he still hadn't had anything but food--no vet, no worming, no de-fleaing.... and was on the 'gas' list because no one wanted to adopt a BLACK bichon! Their loss is our gain! He's already perked up, and turning into a little stinker--now that he's not crawling with bugs and every kind of worm.... He feels GOOD!

Okay, gotta go get organized.....

WOW .. what a day you've had!!

Glad it's worked out on your side tho'

Things work for a purpose I'm told -- the purpose of 'today' must have been so that I could 'reunite' with your blog and get it bookmarked!

Looking forward to how you sum up everything since this morning ;)
