RV Blog--Life in a Box. This just ain't 'camping' any more.... Tuesday, June 10, 2003: I spoke to the wanderers this afternoon and they had JUST pulled in to Black Hawk, SD and were preparing to hook up and run out the slides. They left Kansas City on Sunday and drove all the way up to Mitchell, SD (home of the Corn Palace) and spent the night in the Cabela's parking lot. The camping was free – until they went into Cabela's Monday morning and Dad discovered the giant bargain bin. Sigh. By the time Mom got him out of there, they decided to go ahead and spend Monday night. Then this morning they pulled out and drove on over to Black Hawk, where it's seventy-four degrees and breezy.
